New Microenterprise Case Studies show Positive Social Impact

Invest in Wisconsin has conducted case studies on two microenterprise businesses that each have received a loan and a package of technical assistance from two of our partners. Both Heather Deegan, who owns Buttons and Bolts Fabric & Quilting Supply, Inc., and Allen Danforth, who runs Go Green Painting LLC, had each reached a point where they desperately needed to make a life change. Both entrepreneurs wanted to start their own business, although neither one had any previous commercial experience and both were unable to pursue traditional financing routes.

‍Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) provided Heather with financing for her business and First American Capital Corporation (FACC) assisted Allen with a business loan.

‍Click on each company logo and read about their very different stories, the support that made their ambitions possible and the social impact of their businesses on their lives, their families, and their communities.
